You could just replace the entire valve.

First the valve wouldn't turn on, now after solenoid replacement it won't turn off

About a month ago we replaced the controller on our old TORO system. Afterwards I noticed one of the 6 zones was no longer coming on. After checking the wiring (no problems there) I decided it must be the solenoid. So I replaced it. But now I have the opposite problem: the zone with the new solenoid won't turn off.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
