In this case you would need to find out your total dynamic head. In basic means, since you will need to design your system around your well, you will need to gather some info. You need to know what model pump you have (model, brand, and type), how many gpm is it pumping, what is your dynamic and static water table, and all the parts connected to your pump and well. You need this info because you want to know if your pump is able to perform within a certain criteria. This is not as dificult as it may seem. If you get this info, I will be glad to help you.

Design with a well

Hi
I am trying to be a DIY guy with my sprinkler system. I have an acre of land I need to water with my well. It is a 2hp pump and I pump plenty of water I believe. I spoke to an irrigation guy and he said I want my well to run all of the time vs. on and off while sprinkling. Makes sense. How do I figure how many heads on a zone to put and is there a place that will design it for you. I don't want anything fancy...just sprinkler heads so I don't have to drag the damn hoses. Can anyone recommend a book or an internet resource I can use to design my system?
