Perhaps to clarify a bit further, each "program" is like a separate clock. The only thing they have in common is knowing what the date and time are.
Each PROGRAM has it's own start time(s), individule run times per zone, and days to run. ONE start time per day usually suffices for most sprinkler applications.
Any zones assigned to a specific PROGRAM start on the assigned days and run SEQUENTIALLY after the program starts on those given days.

Like Boots sez.... Don't fall into the trap of trying to assign a start time for each zone. It doesn't wotk that way.

1-e? Numbers are for zones. Letters are for programs. You often can get by with only the A-1 start time, with the rest being off. That's program A, start time 1 ~ if all your zones are assigned to program A, then the A-1 start time will trigger a cycle of watering that includes all the zones. Don't fall into the trap of trying to assign a start time for each zone. It doesn't wotk that way.

keeps cycling.

I have a hunter icm-800-icc with a 8station exspansion module. When the controller calls for the zones to come on to cycle through 1-a,1-b,1-c,1-d and 1-e they stay on cycle in sequince time after time. I have done a factory reset that didn't fix it. do I need to try a new controller or replace the expantion module. or what.
