Red and black wires would signify a DC solenoid.

Flat out guess here....but I'm thinking Toro 252 DC selonoid. Toro's DC selonoids are magnetized. If you push the plunger in, it should stay. Wires and plunger look like a 252.

What are these?

Obviously they're solenoids but I can't figure out what they go to. AC-DC? Voltage. It says RainBird on the side. No voltage markings.
