Thank you, thank you! After I opened the valve with the bleeder screw and closed it, the water leak stopped after a few minutes. I guess this is just residual water in the line. Your advice and assurance is priceless. Thanks again, Gianni

Leaking sprinkler head(s)

To temporarily stop a leaking sprinkler head from flowing water across a front yard sidewalk, I capped it off and discovered the leak transferred to the adjacent sprinkler head. Subsequent research revealed cracked valve diaphragms so I replaced all three zone's 20-year-old valves with new Rainbird in-line valves. The original leaking sprinkler head is back to leaking. What did I miss? Gianni
