Thanks a lot. I did find someone locally who still stocks those transformers. They even offered to test my controller for free if I take it to them. For my own education and perhaps future reference don't all irrigation controller transformers have the same (somewhat same) power consumption? shouldn't they all be compatible and thus interchangeable? I sure could use your advice. I have a Richdel 446PRi Hybrid controller that after a thunderstorm completely died on me. I used an avometer and found out that there is current going through the transformer but nothing coming out of the 2 ports. To me that sounds like the transformer is busted. I went to Home Depot, RAdio Shack and anywhere else I could think of but could not find a replacement transformer. Info on the back of the transformer is as follows: Baster Electric, PRI 120 v 60 hz 0.36A ...
