I got a recommendation to use these as replacements for my impacts but my impacts are above ground. Can these also be mounted without the cannister? Thanks much Bob

Hi Im using 11 cheepo plastic rainbird impacts and was wondering if anyone can make a recommendation on one which will work a little better. Im hoping for one which will offer a more even water distribution. These I have dont get enough water at the far end of the arc. Im getting about 30 or 35 foot with these. Appreciate your time.
