Can anyone provide any installation tips for installing sprinkler heads. specifically backfilling dirt around them and etc to keep them from sinking to low or staying too high when the dirt settles. I'm using "funny pipe" to connect to the laterals.
The valve boxes I purchased have a 2x3cm rectangular hole on each end of the lid. Would it be a good idea to seal these to prevent moisture or leave them open for airflow and moisture removal.
I bought direct burial wire for the controller to valve wiring. Is it necessary to encase the wire in conduit or does "direct burial" mean it can be placed right in the ground?
rvli- you said you rarely use auto drain valves. Is their some problem with them that causes you to avoid them or do you just live where you don't need them?
WHICH KIND OF AUTO DRAIN VALVES ARE MORE RELIABLE BETWEEN PLASTIC AND BRASS. WHAT KIND OF LIFE EXPECTANCY CAN BE EXPECTED FROM THEM.
