Thank you for the feedback. That is what I was suspecting too. I just wanted to hear from someone else if I was thinking about this correctly. Your point about replacing the Head (should it fail) makes perfect sense too .
I'm building a fairly large Sprinkler System and have ordered the Rainbird 5006 Rotors. I'm considering connecting these Rotors via the 3/4" Side Inlet with the 12" Hunter Swing Joint. I've seen warnings that you should refrain from using the Side Inlet in freezing climates.
