I guess what I'm trying to say is...not all companies have backflow devices. Only ones with a potential for a cross connection. Of those companies who have backflow assamblies installed, is there some way I can get a so called list of every company that has a device installed for that county? In other words which companies get sent notices to test?
Does any one know if the records of backflow locations are legal public notice? Expeicaly in Califrornia? Not nessarly the test date but which companies and owners have backflow devices loged through county health. Any information would help.
For those of you who are cirtified testers and or Specialists like myself you may find the following disturbing. In all reality you may know exactly what im writing about. I have tested many units and many pass and sometimes they fail. It's all a part of the process. When they fail I either try to repair or replace, given many varables. How old, condtion, replaceable parts, etc... Over the past few months I have failed about three devices which when I open up to repair I discover the wrong parts...
To add to "SprinklerWarehouse Irrigator's" comment. If you decide to install this RP(Reduce Pressure Assembly) in your basement and you choose to pipe the drain of the assembly to a local drain, ensure you have a proper(to code, 2x the dim of the pipe is norm) air gap between the RP drain and the pipe you are using to channel the water to the local drain.
