the above controller irritrol r series 12 station. says all 8 stations are shorted even after i detach all wires how i check for short in circuits with ohmeter? is the controller probably bad? also all the sprinkler solenoids have a 4 inch plastic nipple looking device wires in series to each one what are these? thanks
