Yesterday, I found that I had a similar problem to the OP's... ... a Toro 232-06-04 valve that would not flow when energized unless the bleeder screw was opened. The reply from pass1 is spot-on. I pulled the solenoid, cleared the exhaust port using a twist-tie, replaced the solenoid, and the valve started working immediately. Good thing, heat wave starts today. Thank you, forum members and admins, for your help! I would not have known where to begin to fix this.
