If you have a flow loss of 44 psi, and a static supply pressure of 50 psi, that works out to 6 psi (six, count 'em, six) at the sprinkler heads. You might consider getting another hobby and leaving this job for a pro. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote"> No, thats 44ps...
I like the rainbird ESP LXI -16
I was going to buy the rainbird ESP LX -16. Im afraid that my design will exceed that, and I will be forced to buy 2 controllers. I also plan on including drip irrigation in the desgn, and room for future growth.I havent broken down the zones yet, but im guessing around 18 to 20 zones. What would be your recommendations in this case?
Is there anyone who has a filter 100 mesh or 150 mesh on the irrigation mainline just after the pvb? A good preventive measure for the control valves and sprinkler heads is the reason i was told to use one.
<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"><i>Originally posted by Wet_Boots</i> <br />Pointless question. First, the last head in a zone is not a saddle tee connection. Second, you don't design a system where too much pressure difference exists between any of the heads on a zone. (5 psi would be a lot) Third, and most important, is if (as you indicate on another thread) you have only a 50 psi static supply pressure (...

Stick with PGP's. Also, 13 gpm is probably way too much to expect from a standard household supply with that sort of static pressure. Measure the actual flow and pressure before you paint yourself into a corner. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquot...
Ive read in various spot in the forum that I-20's require higher pressure to operate than other models of same throw. I was considering getting the I-20's but now im alittle concerned. My pressure and the hose bib is 50psi, and im setting up my system to run at 13 gpm per zone. Will I have an issue using I-20's?
<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"><i>Originally posted by Wet_Boots</i> <br />50 psi is fine for the saddle tees - they don't require line pressure to be sealed. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote"> 50 psi is good but what about at the last spray head whe nthe pressure is 50psi?
Is there a minimim psi that blazing saddle tees require to work effectively? I ve read the higher the psi the better they seal. My system starting pressure is 50 psi. My concern is down stream as the pressure drops if there will be leakage because of too low of a pressure to seal properly.
lol yes people oh btw lol = laugh out loud
I ve read on here by some peeps to work for someone first to get experience then fly the coup to start your own.
heres is rainbird Xerigation Control Zone Kit link for sprinkler warehouse http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=72
Id use spray heads for the 15' distance. here is a link on the subject Jim http://www.irrigationtutorials.com/sprinkler15.htm . As far as spray head the rainbird 1800's series are highly spoken of. The nozzles for the 1800, either rainbird or hunter.
Isnt that a 1/2 fpt to connect funny pipe to the rotor? They make blazing saddles with 1" fpt?
Problem with those is the gpm is so low the wind will blow the spray all over i try not to use anything lower than 2.5 gpm unless its a quarter spray check out this link for more info http://www.irrigationtutorials.com/sprinkler15.htm
I have no idea about the nozzles on the 1804. problem is they are not spraying far enough.
The hunte I-20 will meet those needs has nozzles for all occasions
im using poly pipe no pvc
