Even when turned off, sprinkler still runs

Even when we turn the sprinkler system to "off," the sprinklers still come on every day. We have tried changing the times to water or set it to water every other day, but it still waters every day. At this point the only way to stop watering is to unplug the power supply.

Some controllers have very touchy center dials, and they sometimes don't turn off when you dial them off. Try the same dialing off with a (for lack of a better phrase) "twitchy hand" and the action might work for you.

Beyond that, there is little to try beyond a controller reboot. (power off, battery removed)
