how do I find my local code requirements online?

I live in San Diego, CA. I was trying to see if codes for my city are online. I have to call the city I guess? I'm just a DIY'er, not a contractor.

I would guess you would call the city....i have never obtained local code online.......try calling and ask if it is possible
