VALVES
IN MY AREA OF CA I HAVE SEEN INSTALLERS PUT AN ELECTRIC VALVE BETWEEN THE MAIN SHUTOFF AND THE PVB AND WAS WONDERING WHY THIS IS DONE AND IF IT IS A GOOD IDEA.
that is called a master valve. The purpose of the master valve is so that the manifold is not under pressure, making repairs easier and if something breaks in the valve manifold it wont matter. i dont pertically see any purpose once so ever because the errors that they might avoid dont regularly ever happen. When the sprinklers turn on the master valve turns on water to the regular valves. It is not a necessary step to take
Thanks
