Brand new PGP heads leak between popup and cover

I purchased a set of PGP heads from Sprinkler Warehouse to replace some damaged ones. I removed the popups and cover from the existing bases and insert new popups/covers that I purchased. Some of the heads appear to leak (drip) between the popup body and the cover piece, is this normal? On someof them, it seems to be enough to create apuddle around the base.

Are you sure they are tight-enough? Hand tight for sprinkler heads is certainly enough. Does there appear to be plenty of pressure avalable?

Be sure your threads are completely clean before screwing them on. I usually open 2 inch of dirt around head and use opressured air to clean out the threads, then screw on, Listen for any scaping dirt
