Pool Install requiring removal of sprinkler zone

Hi all,

Please forgive me in advance if this is a silly question. I'm having a pool put in my backyard and a sprinkler zone will be
ripped out in the process. I have 4 Rain Bird anti siphon valves. Valves 2 and 4 (from left to right) control the zones in the backyard. My question is: to isolate the zones so they can be removed, do I need to plug the valves or can I simply unwire them so they are not activated? I plan to put in a drip system after the pool is in. I just want to make sure that when the pool guys bust up the zone with their digger there are no leaks or other water problems.

Thanks! <img You could disconnect the wires.
You could turn the backyard valves to 0 min on the timer.
I would turn the water off to the backyard valves if possible. Do you know where the shut off valve is for that? Not all systems have one.
There's not much more you can do. Just wait and see what they break.

Pool Install requiring removal of sprinkler zone

Thanks for the reply. I have a main water shut off in my garage that shut off all the water to the house and sprinklers. I think I will just set the timer to zero for zones. Thanks again!
