Backflow device with recycled water?

This seems like it might be a dumb question, but if we use recycled water on a meter that is separate from the potable water meter for irrigation, do we need a backflow device? It seems that we shouldn't need one, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

That really all depends on your local laws and regulations reguarding Backflow Prevention devices. It usually varies from state to state. I would check with your local code department to see if one is required.
