Teflon tape?

On the bottom of my Hunter rotors and sprays it says "No pipe dope" for connecting the funny pipe connectors. Can I use teflon tape, or should I use nothing at all?

tape is fine....dope is paste, and not fine.

Use tape if anything but marlex nipples/funny fittings....otherwise no tape

Sure! That way it comes out with the head when you unscrew it. What else would you want? [:D]

I don't like teflon tape at all. It changes the diameter of the nipple / fitting and can entice over-tightening and undue stress.
