Are they the Hunter SRS series Sprays? If they are, I would replace the whole thing, not just the internals. Try and go with a Hunter Pro Spray or a Rain*Bird 1800 Series spray body.

hunter adjustable sprays will sometimes open up more or close if the pressure is high. never use an adjustable hunter spray as a full circle as they tend to "close" under high pressure. they supposedly fixed this problem but i dont believe it as i have had problems from customers who have these heads still to this date.

yes i do use srs hunter spray, sois either the Hunter Pro Spray or a Rain*Bird 1800 Series spray body same as hunter srs. because i have a good # of the guts the pop up and spring and all of the srs stuff.would i be able to use those in the new spray as a spare part

No. they are not the same. Close, but not close enough.... I would suggest changing them out to either a Hunter Pro Spray or a Rain-Bird 1800 series Spray. The SRS Series was notorious for this very problem. You want to look for a spray body that offers a slip / click adjustment clutch. It will be the extra plastic piece at the bottom of the spring on the riser / piston body.
