Valve replacement
I have a old system with galvanized pipes and valves. I would like to replace the valves with electronic valves. The problem that I have is that one of the valves is 1 1/4 inch in size. I cannont find that size in an electonic valve. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Bryce
use a 1.5" valve and 2- 1.5" to 1.25" threaded bushings
That won't affect pressure or flow rate?

What is that valve operating...how many heads or GPM I should say....
If it is low enough you could use a 1 inch valve and save about 50 bucks..or more.

it is running a zone with 27 gpm
Is there any backflow protection on the old system? A complete modernization should include bring it up to code.
1.5 inch valve w/ reducers then....

1.5 is the solution. it will only help the flow.
