Connecting PVC to Copper pipe?

This is probably really simple but how do i correctly connect PVC outgoing into 1 inch copper tubing? PVC Adapter with glue perhaps?

copper female threads to pvc male threads is the preferred method

what if the copper doesn't have any threads and i need to put a male thread option into the copper? Or i guess solder a copper thread coupler on so the pvc thread holds right?

yep, solder a female adaptor onto the copper pipe
