Sprinkers won't turn off at assigned time

Last year our sprinklers worked fine. We had a broken pipe and we reprogramed the system. Everything works fine but the sprinklers won't turn off. We set them to run 20 minutes beginning at 2:30 am. Are we missing a step somewhere?
