Two systems activating a master valve

I am planning to add a 2nd irrigation controller ( for next door house ) to activate a well source irrigation system. The 2 houses share a private well. The 2 separate systems will draw from the master valve on different days. Each house controller would activate the master valve and separate zone valves on their water days. If there is an " accidental overlap ", and both of the separate controllers were to send 24 volt signal to the master valve would it kill the solenoid?
Anyone have experience with this issue?

Install a second master valve in parallel with the first, and it will work from the second controller. None of the wires from either controller will touch a wire from the other. Doing it this way will guarantee no harmful controller interaction.
