Imperial valet

I just bought a new house and seller does not know how to run the system.
Its Imperial valet sprinkler system with auto and manual dial.

I just can't make it work even with manual. I turned the water valve and don't know what else I shoudl check.

can't anybody help me? or guide me to manual?
is there any checklist to go thru?
