hunter valves with flow control
I have 9 zones with hunter flow control valves. Nothing came with the valves that tells you how to adjust the flow control. Consequently I am having problems with different valves sticking and not turning off after an automatic cycle. My thought is that my pressure regulator is set too low or the individual valves need to be opened up.
I am pretty sure there isn't anything stuck in the valve because when I turn off the timer and turn it back on the valve stays closed.
Any ideas out there?
The flow control on the valves is simply a valve that lets more or less water flow into the valve. Turning it one way opens it up, and the other way closes it.
Maybe you have a bad solenoid thats sticking in the open position. Is it the same valve(s) this happens to, or is it happening randomly?
The flow control is a throttle, which you close down until it affects valve flow, whereupon you back off. Makes the valve behave better, especially on closing.
