Poly Pipe adhesives?

I had a terrible landscaper who sold me a makeshift sprinkler system that just hooks up to my spigot.

Works fine, except that the connections from the black sprinkler pipe (which I assume is polyethylene) to the plastic (PVC?) fitting that attaches to the spigot leak horribly.

Does anyone know of a good adhesive that will join the pipe to thw fitting? I've tried PVC cement, all-purpose plastic cement, Plastic Steel epoxy, and all do not adhere to the poly pipe. I'm worried that my new sod is going to die because I can;t water it all till this is fixed!!!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

There is no adhesive for poly pipe. Get a professional to give you a real connection with a backflow preventer.
