100-DVF Valve

****o,
I was wondering which of the 2 wires coming out of the 100-DVF is the power wire and which one is the control wire. Also, if the wires were previously labled near the end, I think I accidentally stripped it off. Is there another way to tell which is which?
Thanks,
Shawn

Hi Gums, no worries, both wires are the same until you hook them up to the timer wires. Flip a coin. Either way will work fine.
If I can't fix it, it's broken!

Timer wires? There are only 2 wires that I can hook up.

Irrigation valve work on AC current with nothing grounded, so basically you can't connect it backwards. One wire should be the "common" lead that all valves are hooked to, and the other wire to the connection for that zone.

There is no which. There is no polarity. It's an AC solenoid. In the valve box, it won't matter a bit which solenoid wire you connect, when you're replacing a solenoid.
