EDIT: This forum post

Hi, just a DYI home owner with a question on air compressors.
I'd like to purchase an air compressor. It would allow me to do my home, my inlaws, friends etc... plus handy around the workshop.
Would cost me $50 to rent one per day, or $50 to pay a contractor to do it each season, each home.
I've read a number of forum posts about which air compressor to use.
PSI under 50, high CFM, like 80.
I've called my local tool rental, and they had a 5hp gas powered compressor, ~20-30 gallon. PSI was regulated, but they did not have a CFM rating on it.
He said this was the one that is rented for this type of work.
The contractor I used also had a similar model, I didn't pry on the specs, but the looks of it, was a 20-30 gallon gas powered.
So, my real question...
Would a compressor like
http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=SEARS&pid=00916871000 work for my needs?
I understand the need for a lower PSI so the pipes don't burst or break valves etc..., but does the lower CFM this can put out (8.6 SCFM) mean it will not work? Or will it just take longer?
The contractor did my 7 zones in under 30 minutes with his. I wouldn't mind it taking longer, as long as it doesn't break my system
Any feedback is much appreciated.
