Sensor for Toro 53603 Controller

I need some advice from someone who knows if the Hunter MWS-FR sensor will work with an older Toro 53603 contoller box. This Toro box is a 12 circuit controller with a dedicated sensor input. I know that sensors are normally open or normally closed, depending on the controller box. I've also seen cautions some Toro controllers may differ from how most others treat sensors....
Any words of advice??

Read the Toro manual - some Toro controllers need a normally-open rain sensor.
