Ployethylene Reaming Device

After the polyethylene pipe is cut, is there a special tool (reaming device) that needs to be used on the cut end; I saw this
tool being used on "Home Time". When I went to Home Depot, they were
not certain that this device existed. Does SW sell this type of device or is there different technique that can be used?

If you cut the poly pipe using the poly pipe cutter you should not need any other tool. We cut poly pipe all the time using only a very sharp blade cutter called a Kwik-Cut Poly Pipe Cutter.

I also saw the Hometime episode that you were referring to. I have found it is not necessary to use a reaming devise but it can be a tight fit. Try RVLI's suggestion of using dish soap to lube your insert. Also, consider self tapping tees (blazing saddles) to eliminate inserts.

After you cut the poly pipe and put your clamp on and your fitting in the pipe the tool you use is to squeeze the clamp on your fitting, plier type
This is for the 3/4 or 1" poly .

The 1/2" funny pipe you just cut the pipe turn your fitting on it clockwise till it is tight and your all set .

Now in cold weather you might have to even heat up the poly with a torch (lightly waving the torch by the pipe) then turn your fitting,connector on the pipe.
