</center>But at this point in time, there might be another direction to take, since you have a new clock already. This would be to upgrade the system with new control valves, if possible. It occurs to me that a system installed in 1959 might not have any backflow protection. On flat properties, a group of valves near the house can be replaced with antisyphon valves. If the valve is at least six inches higher than the highest sprinkler they feed, you have backflow prevention you can count on. This could actually cost you less than having the Imperial controller repaired.
