Swing joint or funny pipe

What is the prefered method to attach Hunter rotors to 1" PVC pipe and what are the mechanics of this process.

you can make your own swing arm or bye one, I use a 1x3/4x1 threaded T and use a 3/4 threaded barb fitting to the T and run the flex tube to another 3/4 barb fitting and connect to the rotor.
