using teflon tape on manifold

I purchase a manifold with 3 valves. There was no teflon tape where the valve screws onto the manifold. Do i need to take it apart and put tape on the valve. Thanks rick

Got a picture? A few select manifolds used O-rings for sealing, against male-threaded valves.

Dura Cooperation has a Dura manifold that is designed with O-Rings that allows you to hand tighten them on to the valve without any leakage or teflon tape.

If by chance you have used a tool that has tighten down to tight it has a chance to compromise the features of the manifold system.
