about hunter pgv valve

Trying to wire and understand the valve. On the top of this Hunter valve

I believe its the selenoid . It shows ON off arrows turn 1/4 & two wires.

How is this valve wired up and setup for use. It appears that the on & off arrows

point to a wire ?? Shoud the valve be turned 1/4 turn ??

PGV wires

Hi Larry, those arrows are pointing in the direction you would turn the solenoid which will turn the valve on and off. For normal operation you want it closed (clockwise). Just turn it by hand til it's snug. The valve might shut off right away or take a few seconds. Give it a chance. The arrows aren't pointing at the wires. You can use either wire for the ground or hot. One wire will go to the common or ground terminal at the controller. One wire will go to the station number terminal on the controller.
