Intermatic R8806P101C Sprinkler-Irrigation Timer with 14-Day Skipper

I have an Intermatic R8806P101C Sprinkler-Irrigation Timer with 14-Day Skipper, in my exisiting sprinkler system. The timer is no longer working and I have to turn the spinkler on and off manually. It is time to replace the timer. I can purchase a new timer but wonder if I would be better off upgrading the system? Suspect upgrade would be complex and expensive but would appreciate suggestions.

Unless there's a valid reason for going to the expense of upgrading, I'd just replace the timer. 75 bucks?
You could have pro come out. I can't help you from here. That might cost you more than 75 bucks. Or free. Depends on the guy. I don't charge to look.
