Extending Hunter 12" pop up sprinkler heads

Is there a way to extend the Hunter 12" pop-up sprinkler heads without having to dig up each one and add a shrub stick (i.e., pvc piple) between the source water flow and the sprinkler head? Otherwords, can I add an adapter on top of the pop up or take out the guts in the pop-up to extend the sprinkler head above the shrubs?

1800 extension

This Rainbird product should fit the Pro spray and SRS. It'll give you an extra 6 inches. You can combine them for more height.

Extending Hunter Pro Spray 12# pop-up

Good suggestion-thanks for the prompt reply. Does Rain Bird or any other compatible manufacturer to the Hunter Pro Spray make an extension shaft longer than the 6" Rain Bird spray shaft extension (1800-ext)?
