Mounting valve at 90 degree angle?

Hello, regarding a valve such as the Hunter PGV-100GS: Is it necessary to mount this valve, or a similar valve, with the solenoid vertically (ie perpendicular to the ground), or is it also ok to mount it with the solenoid horizontal (ie parallel to the ground). This is an indoor application, and I have limited clearance above the valve.

Thanks

The valve should function just fine. I've seen 100 valves installed this way. Never the valve in question though. Will your install be up to code? I have no idea.
