disconnecting sprinkler head from a barbed connector

Hi, this may seem like a simple question but I cannot get the pipe off a barbed connector. I have to pull and twist, but it seems like I might break something. Any secrets?

Most connections are threaded. Just quit pulling and rotate the funny pipe 90 counter clock wise.

Just do it.

No one pulls funny pipe off a barbed connector. You cut it off.
