New Sprinkler System

I am planning to get automatic lawn sprinklers professionally installed in me exisitng lawn, whcih is approximately 6800 sq ft. I got few quotes where the price range is $2500 to $3000, for spray heads ranging from 24 to 30 and zones 6 to 10. The contractors are not very specific on the brand that they are going to install, but are saying any brand you request. ??. (Orbit 5500 is the one which tend to be little more expensive, but carries 7year warranty. I don't hear much about orbit products!!) Hunter, Rainbird, Toro are the names that they are mentioning. I really don't know any thing about sprinkler system. Your thoughts, comments, ideas and suggestions are welcome.

Get a sprinkler system set up like this:

Rainbird 5000 rotor/Hunter PGP rotor

ONLY Rainbird 1800 spray...MPR Nozzles

Rainbird DV valves

Rainbird clock

I might be a little brand favorite..but that's how I do it.

anything professional....orbit....takes a contract out with hunter (hunter makes their products) and they slap on an orbit tag..........the obrit 5500 is the PGP....although orbit does issue a longer wareenty...if they are using 5500 thats okay because it is the PGP....otherwise orbit is junk!!! Stick with the brand names....Rainbird, Hunter, Irritrol....

Thanks

The HUnter PGP rotors are the best and i think that HUnter makes a good spray heaf, as well as Hunter, i also use Toro 570 Mist Heads
