Relacing old valve (2 wire) with new valve that has 3
I am replacing one of my old Orbit valve with a newer model that has 3 wires. On the advise of a home depot guy, I cut the connector off the new valve and wired 2 of the 3 braided wires to my existing wiring system. I left the green wire dangling. This of course blew the fuse. Does anyone know if this can be done and how?
Do you mean you've replaced the controller?
not sure what you mean by controller. It's the valve I replaced Orbit model 91035. Instead of having two wires from the valve to connect to my timer, it had an male jack, when cut there were 3 wires.
