Timers

I need to replace my old RC Rainbird timer (7zone) and have purchased the SST (6zone)- the #7 zone is a drip line which I never use but it does have its own valve in the series. What happens if I do not hook up the 7th wire to the timer - or do I have to combine it with another zone? Will it break the cycle?

Thanks

You can probably do just fine with connecting only the six zones. In freezing climates, you will gain additional security by removing the unused valve, so it can't remain full of water during winter.
