Old Hardie 1" In-line valve not working

My customer had a bad sprinkler zone that turned out to be an old Hardie valve. Wiring was fine. Replaced the solenoid and the valve was making noise, but not passing water. Manually, the valve was working. Purchased a retro kit from Irritrol and found the small rubber gasket around the soleniod was the problem. In conclusion, Hardie's can be repaired with Irritrol retro-kits, saving time and $$$ on the repair.
