station working but not full pressure

I have a toro 250 control valve. When the station comes on it makes a bumping noise and the pressure is about half strength. If I open the bleed screw the noise goes away and the system comes up to full pressure

Rebuild the valve, most likely, or just replace it, is the simple answer
