Febco 827Y valve - when water is on, it leaks out the middle of the valve - where it looks like there is plastic for pressure release. how do i get it to work?

The relief valve of your reduced pressure back flow assembly is stuck on.

I recommend to get an irrigation company in with certified back flow repair /tester to fix your issue

However if you feel inclined, usually you can take apart the 4 bolts in the middle, take out the relief check, exercise it and put it back in. this may fix it.
