rainbird 15' nozzles

The rainbird 15 foot nozzles use twice as much water as the 12 foot nozzles. Why would anybody use these nozzles? When I am doing repairs I move several heads, add one or two heads, and switch everything to 12 foot nozzles. A whole lot better pressure. Why use 15's?

Does anybody know why you would use 15's?

Budget problems. The less heads, the less price. Or if you have a lot of pressure and 15 or so feet to water. That would be my guess.
