It works!
Thanks for the reply. I bought the DC latching solenoid mentioned above and tested it with the valve mentioned above and it works great! NOTE; Rain Bird tech support said it would not work.Yes it will. I have some RainBird valves operating in the field with the Hunter battery operated controller you've mentioned.
