Rainbird. Timers always reset themselves to 8 minutes. How to stop this?

My rainbird ESP-6Si will not hold a new setting for timing at the different stations. It always goes back to 8 minutes. What's wrong? Thank you!

Yes I have read the manual. I have owned this system for about 15 years or so.
