Station Never Shuts Off

Hunter SRC Plus 600i 6-station Indoor model. The sprinkler system is not working
properly. Station #4 never shuts off when the system is off (LCD dial in off
position). System was installed 7/2009 and it has been working properly until 8/17/11. The system was set to irrigate at 3 a.m. 8/17/11 but it started watering
about 1:30 a.m. I tried to turn the system off about 3:00 a.m. while station
#4 was working, but that station continued to water in the OFF position of
the LCD dial. I checked the pop-up sprinklers of the station that runs all the
time (#4), and they appeared to be in the down position when the water supply
is turned off. Here is my 6-station set-up:

Question: could internal debris in one or more of the pop-up heads be the
problem? Looking from above, that does not seem to be the case. How does
one go about internally cleaning a head. The heads are Rain-Bird pop-up
rotating heads.

As for the system coming on at the wrong time: check that your controller's time and date are set correctly. A power outage may have caused the time and date to get screwed up. There is a back up battery in place to prevent losing your current time/date.



A zone not shutting off is generally the sign of a faulty zone valve. Debris in the valve, bad diaphragm, or bad selonoid are all possible causes.
